Drop Out’s season was short-lived, but the impact was huge in the lives of some writers and artists. I watched this with love for my friend and colleague in her creative journey at the place I created for exactly this purpose. I am totally fulfilled.
I met Rebecca at Doe Bay Cafe at an Artsmith open mic. She was a guest of the resort who jumped up and read her work to the crowd with no preparation whatsoever. She blew us away and I knew instantly she was my people and a forever friend. She’s hilarious and human and generous and feeling. She is a conscious observer, like all the best writers.
This is a rare day-by-day look into the creative process of an artist given solitude to do their work. Watch Rebecca’s “Dropumentary”.
